OUR STORYLark® Fine Foods, LLC, located in Essex, Massachusetts, is a family owned and operated business run by a mother-daughter team. We make Cookies for Grown-ups™; highly flavorful cookies with adventurous flavor profiles. Ingredients include fennel, hot pepper, espresso, olives and rum – not all in the same cookie!
Our cookies are hand-crafted, baked, packed and shipped by our employees in our facility. The difference is a higher quality cookie in every way. They are fresh, all natural and baked to order. Our cookies are true artisan treats. Lark Fine Foods was established in 2008 after a guest at a meeting declared our contribution to the dessert table, a spicy chocolate refrigerator cookie, “the best food I’ve ever eaten.” We named that cookie the Cha-Cha and began selling them to a specialty food store in Gloucester. Our all natural, deliciously different COOKIES FOR GROWN-UPS™ have been the proud recipient of two prestigious sofi™ Gold Awards and three sofi™ Silver Finalist Awards from Specialty Foods. Specialty Food is an association of over 2,900 member companies from around the world committed to bringing great foods to market. They have been honoring outstanding food and beverages with sofi™ Awards since 1972. The specialty food industry's highest honor, this annual competition recognizes excellence in specialty food and beverages in 33 categories. “sofi” stands for “specialty outstanding food innovation” and represents the best of the best. Our first sofi™ was in 2010 for the Cha-Chas, spicy chocolate refrigerator cookies, as Outstanding Cookie. In 2011, we were awarded two more silvers, for our Salted Rosemary Shortbread, delicately scented shortbread with a light dusting of sea salt and Scourtins, traditional French-style sweet and savory olive wafers, as Outstanding Cookie and Outstanding Cracker, respectively. In 2012, we won two golds, for Scourtins as Outstanding Cracker and Whole Grain Lady Birds, crisp 100% whole wheat oat cookies with cranberries and bittersweet chocolate, as Outstanding Cookie. |
